OBJECTIVES FOR KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL (Pre-School to UKG)

The principles of learning applied in Kindergarten include Holistic Development and Learning (Aesthetics and Creative Expression, Language and Literacy, Numeracy, Self and Social Awareness); Integrated Learning; Active Learning; Supportive Learning; Interactive Learning and Learning through Play.

  • To promote a smooth transition from home to school.
  • To enhance the learner psycho-motor and development by encouraging free play with assorted playing equipment in the school.
  • To nurture, care and supervise learners during school hours.
  • To help develop their language skills by reading interesting stories and tales to them, showing fascinating films, paper pictures and use of a range of individual and group activities such as role-playing, drawing and painting, singing, rhyming and reciting poems etc.
  • To aid quick adaptation to school environments.
  • To enhance a child’s cognitive development sensory perception and motor coordination.
  • To encourage socialization as learners interact, play and learn together.
  • To inculcate in the learner, the spirit of inquiry and creativity through exploration of nature (Picnics, Field trips) and the immediate environment (celebration of festivals of multiple traditions and cultures).
  • Teaching good habits, especially good health and social habits.
  • Imparting the rudiments of numbers and letters through sounds and colors.
  • To engage in co-curricular activities, such as- Sports, Dance, Music, Yoga, Audio-Video etc.
  • To prepare the learner for primary education with basic knowledge of language, mathematics, environment science and general knowledge through various means of learning approaches.
