OBJECTIVES FOR LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL (Grade VI to VIII)
To develop positive attitudes and beliefs in its learners.
To engage in productive behaviors including setting and meeting goals, doing quality work, and seeing it through to completion by seeking support and solutions to overcome obstacles.
To construct learners’ own knowledge and supportively nurture their interests in ‘making meaning’.
To have an interdisciplinary approach in all academic planning that is integrated both vertically and horizontally.
To engage in community services by going out of their comfort zone to help and offer support to the less fortunate, making them develop a sense of accountability to the society.
To unleash free expression and imagination using selected tools in art, music, dance, drama and sports.
To prepare the learners for the real life situations with the development skills like analytical and critical thinking, communication, research, and self-management.
To enhance experience of healthy competition and team spirit with projects, presentations, group activities, inter-house cultural and sports competitions.
To develop a sense that I am important as an individual and to promote activities that lead to personal responsibility and high self-esteem with Scouting.
