OBJECTIVES FOR LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL (Grade VI to VIII)

  • To develop positive attitudes and beliefs in its learners. 
  • To engage in productive behaviors including setting and meeting goals, doing quality work, and seeing it through to completion by seeking support and solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • To construct learners’ own knowledge and supportively nurture their interests in ‘making meaning’.
  • To have an interdisciplinary approach in all academic planning that is integrated both vertically and horizontally. 
  • To engage in community services by going out of their comfort zone to help and offer support to the less fortunate, making them develop a sense of accountability to the society.
  • To unleash free expression and imagination using selected tools in art, music, dance, drama and sports.
  • To prepare the learners for the real life situations with the development skills like analytical and critical thinking, communication, research, and self-management.
  • To enhance experience of healthy competition and team spirit with projects, presentations, group activities, inter-house cultural and sports competitions.
  • To develop a sense that I am important as an individual and to promote activities that lead to personal responsibility and high self-esteem with Scouting.
